Summary Paragraph: This study will test a primary care intervention aimed at reducing harm to young people from high-risk behaviour. It involves a general practice system for screening youth aged 13 to 24 years for health risks, such as tobacco, alcohol and other substance use, dangerous driving, unprotected sex and mental disorders, and providing counselling or referral options.

Summary Paragraph: This research will result in the development of a tool that can be used in primary care to identify youth at risk for sexually transmitted infections. The tool will be applicable to a wide range of primary care settings and it will be evaluated for its acceptability and its effectiveness at increasing screening for chlamydia.
