Welcome to Outlook
Outlook is a multidisciplinary student organisation committed to raising awareness of the health needs of under-resourced communities. Such communities include rural and indigenous Australia and developing countries.
In 2010, Outlook seeks to further expand its Allied health membership, welcoming the University of Melbourne's Optometrists, Dentists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, Scientists, Biomedical Scientists and Physiotherapists. We also plan to elect an Outlook Allied Health representative (SARRAH representative), giving the elected person the opportunity to be a SARRAH (Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health) member and attend the National SARRAH conference in 2010.
So what can our members look forward to in 2010?
• RAW (Rural Appreciation Weekend) – a weekend on a farm at Cavendish with Monash and Deakin Rural Health Clubs early in the New Year…it promises to be fabulous so keep watching for more info!
• Rural High School Visits
• Rural Clinical School visits
• Close the Gap program
• Indigenous festival
• Volunteer events – such as ‘Relay for Life’ – we
would love your ideas!
• Annual Discussion (cocktail) Dinner
But it doesn't stop there! Outlook is YOUR rural health club - so let us know what YOU want!
