ICM 4
ICM 4 covers the areas of interviewing patients with musculoskeletal and neurological problems and teaches students to perform limited physical examination of these systems. There is further development of hypothesis- formulation skills as applied to the locomotor system.
Core objectives
- Demonstrate ability to interview a patient regarding neurological and musculoskeletal system-lower limb only.
- Communicate with people with hearing and cognitive impairment.
- Perform a mini-mental state examination.
- Demonstrate ability to carry out a basic neurological examination of the lower
limb, examination of hip and knee joints.
- Perform vision testing and examination of the ear.
