ICM 3

ICM 3 builds on the skills of medical interviewing with the focus being on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Students are encouraged to formulate a hypothesis about a patient’s medical problem and are also taught basic information giving.

Core objectives

• Demonstrate ability to interview a patient regarding:
  • Cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
  • Smoking.
• Demonstrate ability to perform a basic examination of the cardiovascular and respiratory system.
• Perform peak flow measurement.
