Graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1993, A/Prof Wong completed the General Practice Vocational Training Programme at Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital, London. He has extensive hospital and community clinical experience and skills after working in both public and private sectors in Scotland, England, China and Hong Kong.
A/Prof Wong conducts research into health beliefs and behaviour in primary care and public health, and principally his research focus is on sexuality and infectious diseases in primary care. So far, he has published over 60 peer-reviewed manuscripts and was awarded as the principal investigator external competitive research grants amounting to over US$1 million in the last few years. He has edited one book in General Practice (Chinese University Press, 2007) and two other books on Men's Health (published in 2006) and Women's Health (due in June 2008) for education of the general public. He was also the founder and Programme Director for Men's Health Diploma, a quotable qualification under the Hong Kong Medical Council. |
